llitutmish was a devotee of the 13th century sufi sait and scholar Qutubuddin bakhtiyar kaki . So the minar is named after him . It is a brilliant example of the Outstanding fusion of Islamic architecture and Southwest Asian design.

The two words mean instrument rom measuring the harmony of the heavens . It consists of 13 architectural astronomical astronomical instruments. Located in New Delhi , the foundation was laid in 1724 by Jai Singh ll, the maharaja of jaipur .He built five Observatories to make final correction to the calendar  and astronomical table . Among them , this one in New Delhi was the first.

Samrat Yantra , jayaprakash , Rama Yantra and Mishar  Yantra , Yantra Mantra Consists of these four distinct Yantras . A 723 feet high plaque erected in 1724 on the Observatory is still in Place .

This Akshardham in Delhi was built by Swami Maharaj , president , on behalf of the organization . The trmple was inaugurated on 6 November 2005 in the presence of Prominet Indian .Personalities APJ Abdul kalam , Manmohan Singh , LK Advani and Bl Joshi .

The Complexhas an Abhishek Mandapa, Simple pleasure water show , and an artisti garden . There are also three exhibitions namely Sahagananda Dharshan , Neelkanth Darshan and Sanskartha Darshan .

On December 17 , 2007 , the Akshardham temple Complex was listed in the Guinness Book of world Record as the largest Hindu temple in the world . It is 356 feet long ,316 feet wide and 141 feet high .
